A covenant meal and worship gathering celebrating the life of Jesus - every third Friday at 6 pm.
At Springs of Life Church, we gather every Sunday at 10 AM for worship, fellowship, and the Word. But on the third Friday of each month, we host a special gathering called Chalice—a vibrant celebration of the covenant life. We share our life in Jesus, marked by a meal, worship, Communion, testimonies, special music, and encouraging words. Chalice is an ongoing community gathering with a twelve-year history in Calaveras County. Join us as the great tradition continues at Springs of Life Church.
The word chalice comes straight from the biblical story—it’s more than a cup; it’s a symbol of covenant, celebration, and shared life:
The Cup of the New Covenant (Luke 22:20) represents Jesus’ sacrifice and our shared salvation.
The Cup of Salvation (Psalm 116:13) expresses joyful praise for God’s deliverance.
The Feasting of the Kingdom (Luke 14:15) points us to the eternal joy we anticipate in His presence.
When we gather for Chalice, we lift the cup together—celebrating what Jesus has done, what He’s doing in our lives now, and what’s yet to come.
Chalice offers a unique opportunity to celebrate in an extended and intentional way. Below is a look at how the evening typically unfolds, creating a rhythm of connection, testimony, worship, and shared life as we reflect on all that Jesus has done and is doing among us.
At Chalice, we begin by gathering around a shared meal, creating space for conversation, connection, and genuine community. As a church in San Andreas, CA, Springs of Life Church values the simple but powerful act of breaking bread together, welcoming neighbors, friends, and newcomers alike. That's why we have incorporated Chalice as a vital part of our ministry. Sharing a meal helps us slow down, build relationships, and experience the hospitality of Christ in a relaxed and meaningful way.
During our meal, we are blessed with several gifted musicians who share the life of Jesus through special music. The music shared during Chalice is not a performance, but a ministry that points us toward Christ and deepens our sense of community.
Our fellowship meal is followed by a deep time of Spirit-led worship.
In Acts 2:46, the early believers gathered regularly, shared meals, and broke bread with glad and sincere hearts. Chalice is our way of stepping into that same rhythm—a sacred and joyful feast of life in Christ.
We invite you to join us:
